Participation by Krasnodar Region
in the International Exhibition of Commercial Real Estate
Cityscape Dubai 2008

It is planned that a delegation from Krasnodar Region led by the Governor of the Region Alexander Tkachev will take part in the Cityscape Dubai 2008 international exhibition of commercial real estate to be held from 6 to 9 October 2008 in the International Exhibition Centre in Dubai, UAE.
Aim of the trip
To activate the process of attracting investment, improve methods of working with financial institutions, study the latest technology in architecture and town planning and to present priority investment projects in Krasnodar Region to foreign specialists in commercial real estate.
Main tasks
Presentation of the economic and investment potential of Krasnodar Region, including projects in the field of the Special Economic Zones and the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games to representatives of official and business circles participating in the Cityscape Dubai 2008 international exhibition of commercial real estate;
To attract the attention of international political, business and financial circles, representatives of large business, and the mass media to the investment potential of the Region, and to the prospects of developing cooperation in development of the commercial real estate field;
To present to visitors to the Krasnodar Region display a full package of information in relation to development of the regional market in commercial real estate;
To discuss with representatives of international business circles the possibility of realising joint projects and developing know-how in fields of mutual interest;
To develop trade and economic cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.

The Business Programme
Within the business programme the following are planned:
Meetings and negotiations by members of the delegation with representatives of political and business circles of foreign states on questions of development of trade and economic, as well as investment, cooperation, establishing business contacts in new promising fields of cooperation, signing agreements;
Meetings and negotiations with the government of Krasnodar Region;
Studying the exhibition, advanced projects and technologies in the sphere of commercial real estate;
Organisation of exchange of contacts.
Krasnodar Region proposals
In accordance with the specialised focus of the event (an exhibition of commercial real estate) and the priority interests of the region the following spheres for developing cooperation can be identified:
Establishment of mutual contacts by delegates of Krasnodar Region with representatives of political and business circles of participating countries in the field of developing the resort and entertainment complex;
Evaluation of possible directions for investment cooperation with foreign businesses, including development of the five Special Resort-Entertainment Economic Zones in Krasnodar Region on the Black Sea coast covering an area of 1500 hectares, the gaming zone and in realising projects in preparation for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games;
The search for potential new directions for trade and economic cooperation between Krasnodar Region and its traditional partners;
Establishment of new contacts in the field of investment and trade and economic cooperation;
Organisation on a partnership basis of exchange of information between Kuban and foreign businesses and organisations interested in developing bilateral cooperation.
Format
The work of the delegation is planned for four days - in accordance with the programme of the Cityscape Dubai 2008 exhibition - according to the general programme for the delegation.
Meetings, negotiations and signing of agreements by heads of the organs of executive state power will be held in accordance with the individual business programme.
Venue
The International Exhibition Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The exhibition display
The exhibition display will be on Stand 2E3O in Hall 2, and will have a total area of 390 square metres (15x26 metres).
It is planned to organise and furnish the display area with light exhibition constructions, multimedia equipment, and to provide handout materials about Krasnodar Region.
