The Arabian Nights with its 1001 stories is not a record.
The Cityscape Dubai 2008 international exhibition of commercial real estate is introducing its guests and participants to its tens of thousands of interesting projects.
Every year Cityscape brings together representatives from leading world companies working in the sphere of commercial real estate, and determines the prospects for development of this market segment.
Krasnodar Region is taking part in the Dubai exhibition for the fourth time and this year is presenting one and a half thousand investment proposals to a total value of ?27 billion. The Region’s display, on a 400 square metre site on stand 2E30 in Hall 2 shows a range of the 100 largest projects to a total value of 200 billion rubles.
The opening ceremony of the Kuban display took place on 6 October.
‘Our participation in the exhibition has two aims. Firstly, we have brought people here who answer directly for the development of the Region, to teach them to prepare and present investment projects properly. Secondly, we are showing other participants at the exhibition, developers and investors, that Krasnodar Region is developing dynamically, and an exceptionally promising region. Some of our projects are uniquely large scale, 16000 hectares! Currently it is not easy for us to compete with developers projects, but already we are looking for and finding promising business contacts and opportunities to attract investment into the Region,’ said First Deputy Head of the Administration of the Region, Evgenii Muravev.
The demand demonstrates the competitiveness of the Krasnodar Region investment projects. Only three weeks ago at the international investment forum in Sochi the Governor of Krasnodar Region, Alexander Tkachev, signed 35 investment agreements worth ?4.5 billion, and at last year’s Cityscape 11 agreements to a total value of approximately $1.5 billion were signed. As a result new office buildings, hotels, trading and residential complexes will be built in the Kuban with the participation of DAMAS, Bur Media Group, DP World, and other large investors, who have created the modern appearance of Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong.
‘We particularly hope to work at Cityscape 2008 no less successfully, and to confirm the status of Krasnodar Region once again as one of the most attractive regions in Russia for investment,’ announced Evgenii Muravev.
